okay! i shall start blogging about my trip to mount k(:
4th decwoke up 2.30am after trying to fall asleep for 4 hours.
met han,sek,clint in school at 4am.
took a bus to JB and most of us just tried to sleep.
then we reached the senai airport, i think.
daylight,took a budget airline( and i really mean, BUDGET! ) to kota kinabalu.
oh, and after putting effort to fill up my white card,
i lost it! then the stupid customs officer was like suuuper pissed.
but he let me across anyway. so, phew!
oh and pls dont take budget,even if its just a 2hr flight,
cos its leg space really isnt enough even for me(hey,i have short legs)
got a little sleep.then took a bus to rose cabin- another loooong journey.
slept again! then unpacked&stuff. ate a horrible oily lunch,
which was "singapore style fried bee hoon"
how misleading!
so horrible hannah tore the receipt!
*pukes
passed time playing daidee/bridge.
and kept waiting for dinner time.
but we had LOTS of fun cos we played WHOOOO!
it totally kicked away the sian-ness and got us damn
HIGH. (:it was coool. the bunk housed clara,tessa,mx,sherwin,sharon,han,sek,me.
ongton, jason and boony joined us too.
then we played murderer even. it was just like SO fun ;D
after dinner, super cold weather, briefing and slept together with hannene.
in the end, she exposed me to all her unglamness and i didnt have a good sleep.
hahaha! wooops. keeping my mouth shut tho(:
at this point of time we couldn't believe we were going to climb THIS THINGY.
5th dechad a MUCH better breakfast with proper beehoon, kway teow and ham chim peng.
took photos photos photos and set off for timpohon gate to trek to laban rata.
we also bought our bestest friend on the trip- our TONGKAT, for RM 3.
haha!hey, it was ONLY a 6km trek. sounds easy.
but, upwards. gosh, seemed like a trillion zillion years to reach it man.
PLUS. after almost 5 hrs,there was this scamming hut that bluffed us into thinking we reached.
PLUS this local who said we were only 5mins away from laban rata. so we kinda chiong-ed.
but according to hannene we took about 20mins. HAHA!
but we were still ahead of schedule. supposed to reach by 4pm, but we reached at about 230 i think? yeah. felt pretty accomplished! ( no altitude sickness yet! phew )

the right way to cure a headache is to place a plaster over your head!(:
rested our feet, ate really rip off RM13 fried rice and bee hoon and RM8fries(han's motivation for laban rata lol) slept from 4+pm till 7pm.
oh and we didnt bathe there cos it was disgusting, then ongton and han kept ranting about not wanting to shit in there. rant rant rant and so made me want to go shit as well.=/
so in the end i had to endure the dirt and shit there.AYES.
and during this time we were awoken lots of time by all the hyper ppl shouting about the "spoilt" heater. it wasn't spoilt. it was only to be switched on at 8pm. so since they didnt read the sign that was
just above the heater, they shouted across the whole corridor claiming the heater was spoilt. LOL.
later we went down to drink hot milo (brought by ourselves)
ordered hot water from the cafe and openly drank it there. heh.
then everyone else played bridge while i just sat around.
we tried to sleep again and ongton was horribly harrassed by sek and han.lol!
poor soul uhs. ahah then jason started throwing SOCKS at me across the double-decker beds.
which initially scared me cos i thought sth tapped me. ew.
(i was sleeping on the top deck okay)
in the end it was irritating jason. blahs.
6th dec
check out the temperature man.
the terrorist beanie!
had to rise 3 hrs later. at about 130am so we could chop the guys' common toilet at 150 before everyone else found us in there.
LOL. and we barely washed our faces cos the tap water was ICE COLD. i bet it was like ZEROdeg celscius like at rose cabin.
prepared head light; 5 layers of shirts; windbreaker; track pants and water for the ascent.
we were pretty worried by the 7deg celscius at 2am.
then we ate "breakfast" ,which was yummy tomyam instant noodles and oreo biscuits for me.
the tomyam noodles totally made me super happy (:
but later we actually followed mr yow in front. bad choice, cos the guys were all chiong-ing like mad. too fast for us. then i almost puked out my already bad combination of breakfast.
but phew. suan mei works wonders. wahaha. took ages to get to the summit cos we were like super sleepy/exhuasted. the ropes up there were like useless cos they were too close to the ground to hold and gave us back aches,
they were only better for the extremely steeep slopes.
we missed the sunrise but we occassionally looked back to see the sky.
it was pretty scary to look back cos it was reaaally high above the clouds already so i didnt look back much. lol. the guides helped a lot to help us get up stupid rocks and in the end we were the last bunch of ppl cos the other grp turned back to laban rata.
at about i think 6 or7 plus we finally reached the summit and i took as many photos as i could.
you wouldn't know how much sweat went into those photos eh. haha.

later, we descended. i twisted my ankles here and there so my feet got really cranky when we finally reached back to laban rata at about 9.45am.
after less than 2hrs rest (so insufficient since we reached later than the rest) we had to set off again down to the T gate.
it really took a toll on me i guess. esp sinced we just descended the summit with all that toe jamming and ankle wobbling.when resting at about the 2km-left-to-Tgate shelter i gave up and had the guide carry me down.
i was totally depleted of energy in my legs and i so didnt want to sprain my ankle when the next day was shopping. LOL.
gaha. the green man safrey and the stupid smelly smoker took turns to carry la.
the smoker was like spitting at every chance (smokers' cough! lol) and panting a lot.
safrey, at least no smoke smell and was like more fit luh.
its like every local there smokes. super irritating la.
later waited for the rest to reach and listened to mr chua rant to the two female guides about how lousily trained we all were , cos we were much later than the rest.
so fine, went to rose cabin to collect our luggages and slept on the way to the most awaited shangrila hotel in KK city.
had a real good bath (finally after almost two days!) and watched lousy malaysian chinese drama serials on TV7. and i realised i can watch it from singapore now. lol.
we chiong-ed to the KFC opposite the hotel to get dinner but it turned out horrible.
the nicest food was the potato wedges, tho it wasnt great at all. the spicy&original chicken sucked a lot.(see why i love singapore? (: )
then later the guys came over to play cards again. then had a pretty good sleep.
7thdecwake up call at 8am. HORRIBLE buffet breakfast! oily oilyoilyoily again.
ongton and hannene decided to be cunning and switched the tags for mango&orange juice.
tell the difference! HAHA.(mr chua drank it)
it was horrible.
our left overs!!see how horrible? =/
believe me, this IS coffee! heh, okay- plus orange juice/mango juice/cream/milk. ;D
then. SHOPPING!!! (:
kinda bought lotsa stuff. some for me, for cousins, for family etc.
we walked to centrepoint and han was like crazily trying on every shoe she saw.LOL.
had LOTS of fun and laughed at almost all the manekins of the clothes shops cos they were all kinda wierd.
they should become twins!(:
ate macdonalds for a late lunch.,which really sucked quite a bit too.just look at my pics. haha!
aww. it is that hard to swallow it.

later we went to wisma merdaka.
then realised there were LOTS of wisma buildings around there.
big PHEW that we didnt get lost. lol.

then at this shoes shop where han tried lots of shoes, we sensed that the m'sian shop owners were trying to laugh at us. so this when this woman followed us around the shop for "assistance", clever me tried a plan.
i just simply scolded the woman in chinese! WAHAHA.
its simple, just say with a smile : " bi zui la ni! "
right into her face.
and guess what? suprise surprise, she SMILED back at me!
HAHAHAHAHA. ;P
i really appreciate having a mother tongue now.
i mean, the feeling was so satisfactory, cos me and han just kept laughing and laughing like mad until the rest thought we were kuku.
AND the woman just laughed along with us okay!
that would teach her a good lesson if she asked her chinese friends what "bi zui la ni" was! (((:

later we bought bak kut teh back to the hotel to munch and watched more dumb dramas/doha games/played cards while ongton slept on the FLOOR. cool huh.
then the guys went back and we dozed at about 2am i guess.
we all had shades!;D
8thdecwoke up late! screwed up morning call by hotel; mad rush at 7am to meet the rest at 730am.
ongton had to knock on our door to wake us even.
that equals to no breakfast. had a good sleep tho.
later we took bus to the airport to check in and finally got a really nice officer who didnt scold me for losing the white card.
kiasu singaporeans we are, we learnt our lesson the other time round and queued up 20mins before boarding time so we could get better seats.
invited lots of stares but who cares, it was like free seating.
besides, no one else knew us there! ;D
oh, but there was this earlier flight during that time, while our flight delayed for about 10mins.
so we stood there like idiots and everyone else followed us to queue early. HAHA.

then arrived at johore.took bus to checkpoints and got ANOTHER stupid customs officer who scolded me in malay! i just stared at him and walked away.
he think i dont know how to scold him in chinese ar. LOL.
oh well, it was my fault anw!
then we reached school, FINALLY.
and got our guide brenda to compare herself to Mrs Ho.
then she obviously couldnt believe how much she looked alike. HAHA!
then we WALKED down the slope to anah merah, took mrt to simei sakae sushi!
the usual 5-10mins walk down became like torture for our muscles!gosh.
plus my backpack was super heavyyyy.
then on the train we invited stares of the whole two carriages we were in between.
seriously they stared as if we were potential terrorists or something. oh well.
